That is an awesome dragon! I hope you'll be making the pattern available. It's certainly one I would purchase. Our school mascot is the dragon, and I would love to tat one for each of our administrators.
I cannot tell you how excited I am for your new book. All of the mythological designs I've seen so far are just what I want for decorations for a kid's room!
Must tell y'all. I've just had the pleasure of test tatting this dragon and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The pattern is easy to follow and the results are AMAZING. I'll blog mine tomorrow or Saturday. I personally can't WAIT for this book to come out with that and the rest of the fantasy patterns too. Martha, you ROCK. I'm in awe of your work yet again.
I have no difficulty believing this EXCELLENT dragon evolved from those bits, because you have the amazing talent to design wonderful things! This will become another classic!
But I AM shocked to learn that you work such strange hours!
Wow -- that is one fierce firebreather! I am in awe of your design talent more than ever before (and I was HUGELY in awe before this, so that is saying something) and CANNOT WAIT to get my hands on a copy of the upcoming book!
Out of curiosity, are they "trainable?" Sapling will want to know...
I have book mark your page so I can find out when the book will be available. I love it!! Best European woodland dragon I've seen. ~ Tatterdel aka Denise Smith Highland Rim Tatters Tatting in the Heart of Tennessee
The pattern is in my book, "Flights of Fantasy." You can buy it directly from me on my Books for Sale page (see link at top) or from Handy Hands or Tatting Corner or other tatting shops.
I like him, he's cute, I have just tatted the sea horse with wings, and he looks like he has the same wings.
