Home Sweet Home

Well, it's official. Today we signed the papers to buy this townhouse.

Goodbye, rent payments; hello mortgage.

Goodbye, apartment plain white walls; hello ??!!??!!

Decorating seems to have been the hobby (or obsession) of the former owners.

This bathroom is nice.

This one.....isn't. It has a fishing reel shaped toilet paper dispenser, too.

This is the INSIDE of my closet.

This, unfortunately, is the wall of my eat-in kitchen.

On the first of an infinite number of trips to Home Depot, I got a wallpaper steamer ;)

  1. Congratulations. Looks like you will need more in your hands than a tatting shuttle! Good luck!

Um that wall paper is rather over the top! It will be great to get it how you want it, best of luck with the decorating.

  5. Have fun with the steamer! We removed wall paper in the master bedroom of my daughter's house about two months ago... what a pain! We decided the two bathrooms can wait until summer... the summer when she decides to remodel them!

  9. Well, that's going to keep you off the streets for a while! The flowers in the front garden look like they could inspire some tatting designs, once you get the time.
