Just to show I am still here and tatting, here is my
Lace Mat still in progress.
There has also been some gift tatting that I can't show yet.
The blue shuttle is one of
Handy Hand's new Aerlit shuttles. This was just one of Barbara Foster's generous contributions to our Palmetto goodie bags. Those who know, say these shuttles compare with the original English Aeros. I know that it has been my main workhorse shuttle for 2 months, and it still has plenty of "click" left. I am really looking forward to these shuttles coming available in the shop, perhaps later this month.
Meanwhile, the weather has turned chilly, and I haven't finished knitting my scarf yet. Which in-progress project should I work on tomorrow?
What a fabulous color combination!
ReplyDeleteThe tat-along doily is looking great. I like the unusual colours you've chosen. Looking forward to the complete doily, and this reminds me that I ought to get going with mine. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh! I love the colors you chosen!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty.
I tried the Aerlit, but I wasn't crazy about it. But, I'm not all together decided on how I feel about bobbin shuttles in general, so that may have something to do with my indifference to the Aerlit. :o)
Nice to have a choice of WIPs to chose from! Love the colours you're using for the mat.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors you're using for the Lace Mat! I haven't moved past the first round... still tatting snowflakes! I'm really looking forward to the new Airlit shuttles, so I'm glad to read that they have plenty of click in them. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's really interesting seeing how your Lace Mat is developing.
ReplyDeleteI wonder whether you will finish first? I am working on mine as I write...well not exactly as I type, lol.
very pretty Lace mat
ReplyDeletelooking forward to the new shuttles being available for the those who couldn't attend Palmettos. Thanks for the good review.
Gorgeous colors! This will be stunning when you're done!
ReplyDeleteLove the chosen colourway... Really eye-catch2ing.
ReplyDeleteFox : )
Really looking forward to the release of the Aerolit shuttles! I use only bobbin shuttles, and I like the idea of all those colors! I still have and use my original Made in England shuttles, so it will be easy for me to compare them. I appreciate the effort that has gone into replicating those shuttles!
ReplyDeleteI'll join the others in saying I LOVE the colors you are using for your mat - what a nice combination!
ReplyDeleteI love my Aeros - I'm anxious to try one of those Aerlits!
I too really like your colour choice. Slightly muted both, I love their vintage feel when combined.
ReplyDeleteWow, I love the color combination! And you do not seem to have had much,if any, trouble with those round 3 chains.
ReplyDeleteWill you be adding the three-ring bits at the end or do you have an expansion planned for this beauty?
Seeing that doily was worth the wait! I am enchanted by the colors also. It looks vintage? Antique? Elegant!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
