I am almost famous in the real world. I won an honorable mention in this year's Piecework Magazines pincushion contest. Yay me!
I wondered at first if it was my iffy sewing skills that kept me from being a first place winner. But then I saw the winners' pictures and saw how they thought (and designed) way outside the box. Then I was surprised my entry was even in the running.
You can see the winners HERE.
Congratulations! Can you show us your pin cushion?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. When are we going to see a closeup picture of it?

Congratulations on being included! You are right, some of those are pretty fantastic! I love that several, besides yours, had tatting involved. How cool is that?
ReplyDeleteCongrats for having your design honored in the magazine! You're in good company there with all those other creative entries.

ReplyDeleteYour pincushion is very pretty. I'm surprised it didn't win first place. It would have been difficult to choose - glad I was not one of the judges. All the pincushions were cute. Congratulations!

Congratulations! Piecework is a prestigious magazine and it has been including tatting more often, so it's great to see your work represented here. Your pincushion almost looks like a frosted cake - yummy! Will you get the pincushion back so we can see it in more detail?
ReplyDeleteI saw your entry when I read through my copy of Piecework. Congratulations!
